Actress Asin is all set to play the same role for the third time in her career. No, it’s not a statement on the roles she’s been taking on nowadays. The actress, whose latest Hindi film ‘Ready’ did reasonably well at the box-office, is all set reprise t

he role she did in Tamil (‘M. Kumaran S/o Mahalaxmi) and Telugu (‘Amma Naana O Tamizh Ammayee’) in the Hindi version soon.
Puru Jegannath, who directed the Telugu version, is planning to remake the film in Hindi with Asin as the female lead. Director ‘Jeyam’ Raja managed to turn the film’s Tamil version into a highly successful affair. Asin, who debuted as heroine in Tamil with the late Jeeva’s ‘Ullam Ketkumae’, made it big in Tamil films after the film ‘M. Kumaran….’ became a box-office hit.

Asin is only too happy that she has landed this offer at a time when she is badly in need of a major film to boost her Hindi film career. The proposed Hindi version of ‘M. Kumaran…’ would be her third film with Puri who has also directed in another film directed ‘Sivamani’. Puri, on the other hand, is totally unperturbed about all the negative press he has been getting about his latest directorial venture.
Puri’s ‘Buddha Hoga Tera Baap’ starring the Big ‘B’ in the lead might not be doing great but he is quite happy that he got the opportunity to direct the ‘great’ Amitabh. Puri, who would first complete the project titled ‘The Businessman’ in Telugu and Hindi, would then start the Asin-starrer.
Hopefully, he should turn out to be Asin’s lucky mascot again!
