The 30-year old beauty is of Uruguayan-Japanese and Mexican heritage (her Japanese ancestry is from her paternal grandfather) and has a son with actor, Sergio Mayer. The two never married.
Barbara Mori left her job as a waitress at the age of 14 when fashion designer Marcos Toledo invited her to work as a model.
Since then, Barbara Mori hasn’t look back. From modelling, she moved to television, where she played the title character in a remake of the telenovela Rubi in 2004. She also won an award for Best New Actress for her role in a comedy series, Mirada de mujer.
The actress branched off to films in 2000 with the Mexican comedy Inspiracion. Five years later, the actress got a starring role in the blockbuster film La mujer de mi hermano opposite Christian Meier.
