Hrithik Roshan was born in Mumbai, India, to Pinky and actor/director Rakesh Roshan on January 10, 1974. Hrithik Roshan is married to Suzanne Khan (who is now Suzanne Roshan), his high-school sweetheart. Suzanne is the daughter of actor/director Sanjay Khan and sister of actor Zayed Khan. Now the couple has a son born in 2006.
Hrithik Roshan got all the advantage of being the part of a Bollywood family. He started acting in film stright from childhood. He first appeared in a leading role in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai opposite first-time actress Amisha Patel in 2000. The film was directed by his father and proved to be very successful at the box office: It was the highest grossing film of 2000(In 2001, 2003 and 2006 also Hrithik Roshan's films collected the highest gross) and winner of the Filmfare Best Movie Award. Hrithik's performance earned him the Filmfare Best Debut Award and the Filmfare Best Actor Award. That same year, Hrithik also starred in Fiza and Mission Kashmir. They were moderately successful at the box office and were highly acclaimed by critics. Hrithik was nominated for Best Actor in Fiza and Mission Kashmir was nominated for Best Film at Filmfare.
This followed many boxoffice hits in 2001(Yaadein), 2003(Koi Mil Gaya),2004(Lakshya), 2006 (Krish, Doom2) and today Hrithik Rosan stands as on the top most paid actor in Bollywood. In Doom2 he plays a negative role (a villain) for the first time. The film released on November 24, 2006 and is already the highest grosser ever! Dhoom 2 has embarked on an earth-shattering opening all over India. There is a long kiss between Hrithik Roshan and and Aishwarya Rai in this movie. As things stands Abishek Bachchan is not very happy on this!
