Resul Pookutty, who had won an Oscar for sound mixing in Slumdog Millionaire, claims that it could be the case
Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate whipped up quite a lot of buzz – positive and negative. Why, first there was controversy regarding the title track being plagiarized from Euphoria’s decade old tune (of course, we checked and realised that it wasn’t so), then it was the doctors demanding an apology from the Perfectionist Khan, and now it’s Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty claiming that the show was manipulated. Sigh!
But why does Pookutty say so? According to him “Satyamev Jayate was completely a doctored show” because a lot of post-production work on the sound done. He was also of the opinion that a lot of sound mixing in a way that the audience could be blackmailed. Ahem ahem. Now that sounds like a serious allegation, no?
And it makes us wonder how Aamir will clear his stance on this one, if he ever will. Or will he just let it pass like the earlier negative statements and allegations? But while we wait for the Talaash actor to respond, tell us, readers, if you think Satyamev Jayate was ‘doctored’ to get the desired effect and reactions from you?
